Very cool Noel, I keep forgetting you're the history buff. All of that info. is correct except the population is now 44,111. I've been there and to Lemoore twice in the last two weeks to take pictures of the town and Steve's high school, Jr. high, chruch, the radio station, etc. and got that info. from the town sign. Hanford is a very small, lovely, rural town and I sat in that courthouse square and talked to many people (not to mention roomed all over and asked everyone I could bother about him). No one admitted knowing who Steve was (although everyone was so nice and all wished me luck) but there isn't even a street named after him, shame. I did get to see a copy of the 1967 Lemoore high school annual (you can purchase it from the school for $500.00+ no joke) and Steve's pic. just might be worth it. Anyway, I'll have a full write up of the details of my adventure and the photos will be posted on "the other" web site so please everyone is welcome to vist and read all about it. There can never be enough web sites dedicated to our man. If you live in So. CA I recommend you vist both towns. It's a very pleasent drive and they are two very friendly places.
