Not much of an optimist are you? I for one WILL hold my breath because I've been a serious fan from Steve's beginning with the band and when Journey broke up the first time in 87 everyone said they'd NEVER get back together. Guess what? They got back together (not to mention they have a serious bond with each other and getting together to work on the Essential Journey CD just proves that they can still work together) so nothing is impossible. If Steve decides that he doesn't want to be with Journey ever again and continue solo or not at all, I'll support his desicion because he's still the voice and the songwriter that I love best, but I'm still keeping the faith and all of you fans like me, please continue to do so also. We love Steve with or without Journey, but if I had my choice, I want Journey back with Steve. The Steve Perry, Neal Schon combo is unbeatable. Steve's voice and Neal's guitar went hand in hand (not to mention the songs) It was magic, no doubt about it! To write Patiently in 10 minutes the first time you're together, and all the other songs that just pop up when Steve is with Neal and Jon....Those kinds of bands don't come around often. So far no one compares in my eyes.
