I have several… such great memories, thank you Jodi for such a great question. I’m so glad you’re here, girl!

Here’s one.

As you know I am a child of the Escape era.. I was 13 back in ’81 when I first heard “Don’t Stop Believing”.. actually, the first time I heard Steve Perry sing was my first time seeing him as well, on the MTV video for DSB taped in Japan. I basically grew up on 80’s MTV (explains a lot!) and at the top of each hour back then, they would show a preview of three of the artists they would be playing videos for that hour. And whenever they announced that they would be playing Journey that hour, my phone would ring off the hook with everyone calling to make sure that I knew! And when my friends would call they would be screaming on the other end, just so excited. Sometimes I would just pick up the phone and scream into it “I KNOW!” and hang up. Phone call after phone call, after phone call, bless my mom’s heart for letting us just be crazy kids, I know we must’ve gotten on her nerves sometimes with our screaming all over the house. It was such a fun time.
