I for one do believe that Neal and Jon would have to eat ALOT of crow before Steve would consider going back. Steve did in BTM that there was no going back. There has been too much said and done in my opinion. I really don't see Steve going back and being the lead singer again. I hope that I am wrong on this. I would love nothing more than to have the original Journey w/Steve A. and Dean. Wishing and hoping for things to be may not always be so. I think that Steve is helping make the new compilation but I think that it is not done with Neal and Jon in the same room. Maybe I'm wrong. Steve has to do what is right for himself and not what is right for anyone else. I'm sure that Steve feels that this is right and that is why he is helping do this. Hey the man co-wrote almost every song when he joined so of course he would want to be apart of this. I just think it is great that they are working together to put something out. Steve has lived the quiet life out of the spotlight and I for one admire and love him for that. Taking charge of HIS life and doing what HE wants to do in life takes alot of courage and strength. He was with Journey for so many years that it became his life. Like Steve said on BTM "I can't make it the only thing that makes me feel okay. I can't float my boat solely." Steve is right on that. Steve Perry in his musical way reminds me of Barry Manillow. Barry Manillow has said that whenever he had to chose between music and whatever music always came first and that there are things that pass you by because of it. I hope that Steve, Neal and Jon working together gives Steve the inspiration needed to continue his musical career whether it be with Journey or solo. I just think that this new CD will be in Billboard's top 10. Sometimes you have to go back one more time before you can go on completly. Maybe this is a sorta closure for the guys. I hope not. Perry On!

THOSE WERE THE DAYS...
