Subject: Super Night! But...

Absolutely super evening for the most part, I simply cannot wait until the photographs are developed!

Saying that, I fear this may have been my last evening at the club due to an argument with management & door staff - in short homophobia. On two occassions a member of Spiders staff interveined when I was dancing with another customer who, quite incidentally, happened to be male. On the first occassion, when the excuse was "too durnk" (despite only spending £3 at the bar...), the management actually overturned the decision and allowed me to stay as I was clearly sober & capable. The second occassion, with a different bouncer, I was still thrown out for no reason (well no reason in my eyes or the supposed eyes of Spiders nightclub), a door shut in my face, and was further subjected to derogatory comments from the door staff.

"It's disturbing the customers."

"Why can't you kiss girls? I do."

Just a few of the treats that were delivered to me when trying to ask for a reason for being thrown out (incidentally acompanied by the man responsible refusing to give me his name or allowing me to speak to a member of management).

Ultimately, I may have drunk too much in the past, acted a complete prick etc, but does that give a supposedly socially tolerant club the right to throw me out for dancing with another boy? Whatever the excuses, I was a paying customer, was thrown out for inappropriate reasons, and simply do not think it was just treatment.

Maybe I'm bitter. I just thought it was different at Spiders. Well, maybe no longer. We'll have to see!
