Well as for how to regard Hull, think of this. People can either support it by doing their bit to make it a better place, or there are two alternatives: 1)Stop complaining and bugger off to another city. 2)Stay here, be miserable and be wet blanket to any discussion of the places merits (of which it definitely does have, irrespective of its faults), which just serves to lower morale and highten tension even further. Just think what would happen if everyone did either (or both) of the alternatives, would things improve? I don't think so, they would do the opposite.

My conclusion? We need to be actively positive about the place or we fall in to a vicious circle.
