So, they had completed two of the tasks she had set them…another point in their favour. Now she would have to really try and separate the weak one from the strong one – she had never been one for long flight chases, she preferred the mating part!

So maybe a few more little tricks to make them do, just to see which one to choose. The prime purpose of mating flights was to choose the best dragon to father a clutch, after all – and even if she was sterile, it was still worth choosing the best flyer – he would have far more…stamina.

But what could she do? She had used one of her flight tricks, and these inexperienced boys had done surprisingly well, considering. So maybe it was time for her to use another of her little exercises.

Swooping downwards fast, she hovered for a second, just to confuse them, to make them think they could actually get to her, and then she streaked off the other way.

This was a traditional trick, just going as fast as she possibly could, to see if they could catch up, be as fast as her. Of course they couldn’t! But she knew they would try. Maybe she would make this the last trick – she wanted her mate to be able to hold her up for a long time! And it was never a good flight if the male was tired. In her longest flight the mating hadn’t lasted for too long – he hadn’t had the strength.

That Myth though he could catch up with her, even at the speed she was going! That was ridiculous! Golgith was the same, really…but to see which one to pick…

G’rein was receiving all this information from Grenith constantly, and he tilted his head provocatively at the two riders, a “follow me” gesture, accompanied by another smile. “Think you can get me, hmm?” He muttered in a voice made husky by emotion.

Think you can get me, hmm, my boys?
