The brown screamed his challenge to the bronze, almost ready to combat for this green. He may not have known her, but he intended for this to be his green.
N'deau, but a few meters away, followed his dragon's sentiments. Riorth was the largest dragon at the clutch, already the size of the new queen at hatching, too! He felt the hot surge of emotion, and fought to keep himself himself, if you know what I mean. He stood near the green, scowling at the bronze rider who was presumtous enough to claim Elaini. "The dragons choose! Why claim, when my brown could easily beat your bronze?"
His voice was taunting, scornful. He and Riorth would show this presumptious bronze! His foster mother told him that he was too haughty, but this bronze rider, it wasn't right, to lay claim to a rider before the green chose.
Again, Riorth gave his challenge, first to the green who had taken this reaction from him(and this takes some doing to do, he is normally reserven, even in flights), then to the bronze who was so haughty. Pride goes before a fall!!!!
