Date Posted: 945646312PST After a lot of seaching: we finally picked her up. Thanks for all the help form those who sent me mail. We purchased the Maycraft 2300 center console. The price was sooooooo Gooood we've been told not to tell about it. It has a large CC and a really nice combo leaning post bait tank in the rear (30 gallon). We're installing a foreward baitank as well. I've found these cool white polyethelene tanks 22" diameter 36" high 55 gallons. Placed forward we'll use it for chovies squid etc. While the back is for the Mackies. I'm making a Hybrid T Top tower for it. Essentually a T top with a slide up leaning post cage for fish spotting. It will slide up for support when your up there, then slide down when you want to travel. Another feature is front and side canvass. Three side panels (front back and rear)form a little pilot house. There'll be zippers in the corners unzip roll it up and it's out of the way. When it's rough you can pull the thing down zip it and stay dry. I thought this up when looking at a Shamrock pilot house, then saw this roll up feature on a Bayrunner and could'nt reset putting it in my design. The canvas will be black with clear window insets. The T is black Powder coated Aluminum. Part of the top cover is Metal part canvas. Fuel+power: 88 gallon tank with a second 28 gallon above deck auxilery tank. I'm setting this up so we can put it up there when we need it, pull it off when we don't. The engine is a yamaha 175 series 2. Since the boat wieghs 2400 unloaded we should get some milage out of it. Were adding a few perks as well: Lee outrigers cannon downriggers Ratheon color sounder Ratheon Rader (If I ever get around to fixing it). GPS Loran Radio Bah Blah Blah All in all it should be a damn good boat when we're done. If that is not enough work for me. I'm also changing the Powerhead in the original Max, it should go up for sale next month. We're thinking around twelve. For a 25 Kevlar Hydra Sport that would be one #ell of a deal. Mateo's ofering his at 25. Fishy boat: we've caught tons on it. I'll really miss it. Oh yea Pics: http://www.voy.com/318/199.html Working: http://www.captdaves.com/ The interior is like the first: the layout and stern like the second. Soon we'll have our own pics with fish!!!!!! Heres the old "MAX" http://www.angelfire.com/ca2/FISHTEK/images/max.jpg So there you have it. See you on the water Tight lines Jim [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
