Just read the following from Captain Tom King(on the east coast)about an 1109 pound mako that was caught and killed off
Santa Barbara Island(at the Osborne Bank):

The silence is deafening on the 1109 pound mako taken in Calif. on or
about Sept 18th.
SharkByte- Sean Van Sommerland- Keith Poe- John Ugoretz DFG Whats the
story??

Why is this record Calif. mako catch being suppressed??? Like Paul
Harvey I want to know the rest of the story??? - Tom

PS I hope it's not a shark hugging hypocrite who is embarrased by
killing that magnificent fish, and wants to keep a low profile.
