*a bay mare is seen upon the horizon, neck arched beautifully as she scouts out the area, her very being nearly sings with vibrant life, the quintessence of youth and vitality, her strong and lithe form climbs over rocky crags to go to the herd of El Diablo, abruptly she turns, waiting for the other, she is Riah*





*the other mare is just the opposite, decrepit and broken, but by no means ugly, her once sparkling coat, white as newly fallen snow, was now grey and unkempt, with ribs visible poking out from her sides, she makes her way slowly over the rocky terrain following the younger, her heart was broken, only the other helped her to surive, she is Nieve*





*as the two mares walk side by side, no one would guess that they were family, mother and daughter, by their looks, as so they travel to the herd of El Diablo*
