Subject: Who would win in a fight? David or Neil?

I was sending the sequel over to an editing friend of mine and while working on one of the chapters I started thinking....who really would win in a fight? David or Neil?

We've already seen that David can knock Neil's light's out, but then, Neil was a bit inebriated at the time.

Would Neil even dignify a fisticuffs? Wit over braun mentality?

I wonder.........

Queensberry Rules Boxing = David

Outright fighting = Neil

Neil did pretty well for himself when arm wrestling David.

I don't think, when sober, that Neil would fight unless provoked or backed into a corner. Doctor's oath, "first do no harm". But, given a good reason such as to protect someone, he wouldn't hesitate.

Based on apparent muscular prowess and studliness, I would say Neil HANDS-DOWN....not an ounce of pretty-boy in that man! :)

Hands down, the Doc for both wits and braun! David is too skinny, no muscle, not my manly man like the Doc.

Love y'all,
Joanna

I don't know.

To me, I don't think he would abase himself to duking it out unless he was either forced to do so. When Christy was a hostage he was giving himself for her, where I can see David rushing in to get her back-whatever the might it took.

First thing which came to mind when I read this question was how cute the "Doc" (Stewart) looked in "recovery" - after "David" had decked him! Makes ya just want to hug him and take care of him 'til he feels better don't ya think?!

But, honestly ...
I think a true contest between the two would end up being a "draw" like the "seemingly endless" arm wrestling match at the end of the day - in front of Christy - after the highland games! :)

Those poor guys!
She had both of them almost as confused as she was for so long, I'm suprised they both didn't give up on her and call it quits?! Love is a strange, yet, wonderful thing isn't it?!

After reading your post Cath ...
and, remembering the "Chesire grin" on the "Doc's" face while he and "David" were arm wrestling ...
your estimation of the final outcome is most likely right "on target"!
"David" might start it, but most likely the "Doc" would have the "final word" on the subject?! :)

Yeah, I believe when necessity called, the "Doc" and Stewart could take care of themselves in most any given situation!
Seems like I remember Stewart saying he was actually a "bouncer" in an establishment somewhere at one time ...
long, ago?! :)
