It's not like I think that US Soccer has much more than a snowball's chance in hell of winning it all (well, actually a bit more, as this is World Cup is quite wide open and we are underrated [by a bunch of stupid journalists whose view of reality become warped whenever they see red, white and blue, but that's another story], but I'm not seeing a championship for US Soccer this year). However, that doesn't mean that I can't take a little bit of pride in my own country when we play well. Hey, after the 1998 World Cup, every win, or tie, or even goal, is gravy.
