I'm not all that surprised. I thought we had a good enough team to make it out of group play (I didn't think we'd make it out if we lost to Poland, though). I thought we had a good enough team to beat Mexico. But still we're in the quarterfinals! We haven't been there since my grandparents were teenagers! O_O | -_- | O_O I kinda like rooting for the scrappy underdog.

Germany's a tough draw for Friday, though. That team's good enough to challenge for the title. Still, this has been a World Cup full of upsets. One more can't hurt. :-)
