Well you can take this short person to see Crocodille Hunter:Collision course as it's only rated PG. (So what are the chances of seeing him dressed as Steve come Holloween?)

The plot is about a hightech secreat device that is swallowed by said croc, and spies are after it. (Lets see he's nearly died three times due to snakes. And the Fed Ex commerical is priceless.) Um that's it in a nut shell. ;P

As for the Teletubbies, they are actually suppose to be the colors that live inside the TV Set, and their heads are anteni(sp?)(Rabbit ears) which catches real life and displays it on their tv set tummies. 80 <--Scream, and run for your life.

Animal planet is cool, and when he gets older tune him into Nature on PBS. Another show that he might like is Zaboomafoo with the Kratt Brother. :)
