Russell Crowe once played a bad-arse punk on Home and Away.

Although Hugo Weaving and Hugh Jackman didn't appear in any soaps that I'm aware of.

I'd mention Sam Neil, but inspite of typically being referred to by the media as an Australian actor, he is actually a New Zealander.

Russell Crowe was born in NZ too, but he was raised in Australia and I think he has Australian citizenship -- his accent is definitely Australian, not Kiwi.
