He needs to be an essentially good but arrogant kid. Keep in mind where we're going with Anakin. In this prequel trilogy we're watching a character fall from grace and become consumed by evil. A rebellious streak a la Han Solo would have distrated from this theme. He should be fairly straight-laced, but with a few disturbing flaws. This is what was accomplished in Clones. ____________________________________________________________

Anakin's character seemed to me to be unfathomable from Episode 1 to 2. As a kid he could do far more than any other kid, and while he seemed to be proud of himself, he was far from arrogant. Among the company of Jedi, who are far above normal kids we are really supposed to assume he now thinks he is THAT great? I also find it hard to believe he would be that way towards Obiwan. The Jedi helped free him from slavery, and Obiwan is the reason he is among the Jedi to begin with. He took him in and raised him. Are we really supposed to believe that he is THAT arrogant and ungrateful? Also as a kid he was not whiney at all, but now as a young adult he is? It should be the other way around.

Lucas wrote in this arrogance as a way for him to start his way towards the dark side and it really wasnt needed. It should have been Obiwan not allowing him to see his mother when he felt she was in trouble that starts his resentment towards ObiWan. Not the cliche petty jealousy and competition.

What I mean for Anakin to be more like Han (and I mean fist movie Han) is to make him a character that was overall not as righteous as Obiwan, and but not as ruthless as Vader. Someone who has good intentions, but feels that Jedi should use their power to go on the offense more than defense. One to be more questioning of the Jedi ways. Why must they ONLY use ther powers for defense? Why are they not allowed to love? Why can't they see their mothers if they have a bad feeling? While you can argue that Anakin had some of these traits, he was so whiney that he seemed to be doing everything this way cause he is a spoiled crybaby.

Besides, the Han Solo-type rebel is sooooooooo 1970s. It's a new millenium, dude! Catch up with the rest of us. :-p

Catch up? Please, this Anakin was sooooooooo 1980s. Very much like Ralph Maccio in the Karate kid yelling "I can do it Mr. Miagi!"

Well, other than the whole C3PO incident...

I found that more lame than funny personally.

Again, I must disagree with your assessment. IMNSHO, Clones did a great job of bridging the gap partway between Phantom Menace and New Hope. The Republic is still the Republic and Anakin is still "Ani", but the stage has been set for the Republic to become the Empire and Anakin to get that one final push that sends him over the edge. This can easily be accomplished in a two-hour movie.

First let's look at all of the remaining questions that SHOULD be answered.

First let's look at all the unanswered questions.

1) How does a senetor from Naboo become the most powerful Sithlord, and be even above well trained Jedi?
2) Who is Really Anakin's Father? It would be lame if he doesn't have one.
3) What is the real deal with Count Dooku and how did he come into Sidious' agenda?
4) The Darkside itself should be explained.
5) Who really ordered the clones? Who was Sithedius and how did he die?

Let's also look at all the things that happen between Episodes 2 and 4.

1) The republic becomes the empire.
2) Count Dooku we assume dies (I assume at the hands of Anakin).
3) Anakin plunges to the Dark Side.
4) A confronation between Obiwan and Anakin where Anakin get's injured.
5) Anakin gets rebuilt into Vader and takes up the Armor.
6) The kids are born.
7) Bail Organa forms the Rebel Alliance
8) Bail Organa adopts Leia
9) Padme dies.
10) Vader hunts down and destroys the remaining Jedi cept for Obiwan and Yoda.
11) Obiwan gives Luke to the Larrs (Owen is in the movie again).
12) Jedi can now appear as ghosts and disappear when they die (Lucas said this will be explained)
13) The Clone Wars comes to it's conclusion.

Also it is confirmed that a new villan (yet to be cast)will appear in episode 3.

Seems like a Hell of alot to squeeze into one 2 hour movie. Also, if they continue how all Star Wars films take place in about a weeks time, it seems like Much will be both rushed and just not explained or shown. Most stories are written to introuce the characters in the first third, have the meat and potatoes of the story in the second third, and have the conclusion in the end. Here Lucas wasted most of the first third, and screwed himself with the next two Thirds of the of the trilogy. This Trilogy wasn't well planned IMO.
