It would also be better if Anakin was closer to a Han Solo type rebellious character (something this trilogy really needs), but instead he is written as more of an arrogant kid dying to show off how powerful he is.

He needs to be an essentially good but arrogant kid. Keep in mind where we're going with Anakin. In this prequel trilogy we're watching a character fall from grace and become consumed by evil. A rebellious streak a la Han Solo would have distrated from this theme. He should be fairly straight-laced, but with a few disturbing flaws. This is what was accomplished in Clones. Besides, the Han Solo-type rebel is sooooooooo 1970s. It's a new millenium, dude! Catch up with the rest of us. :-p

There is also little intentional humor in this film.

Well, other than the whole C3PO incident...

I also must say that I am also disappointed with the lack of Revelations and Plot unfoldings. This would be fine if this was the first in the new trilogy, but being the second, I feel like the story should be a bit further along by now. Nothing as big as Luke becoming Much more powerful, or “Luke, I am your father” in this film. It seems to be trying to keep what's really going on to be a secret like the last one, but after 2 movies, you really want to know more of what's going on. Especially since you have to wait 3 years for the next one. This also makes me concerned about Episode 3. There seems too much story left between episodes 2 and 4 to fit into one movie.

Again, I must disagree with your assessment. IMNSHO, Clones did a great job of bridging the gap partway between Phantom Menace and New Hope. The Republic is still the Republic and Anakin is still "Ani", but the stage has been set for the Republic to become the Empire and Anakin to get that one final push that sends him over the edge. This can easily be accomplished in a two-hour movie.
