And a companion who accepts me would be desiderata for real happiness instead of the facade I wear for others and to some scary degree myself, save for rare moments of lucidity quickly ironed over with some good old fashioned escapism....yessss....

OK, changing my answer. Escapism is my desiderata. Internet, TV, movies, books, work, whatever takes my mind off.
