Seriously, that's all I'm really saying, not so much if Lucas has a part, but Star Wars fans are almost, if not totally, cult-like(probably second only to Trekkies). As long as there is money to be made(and gawd knows, there's been a TON made outside the movies), I'm sure they are going to try and milk it one way or another.

Frankly, I'm a skeptic of anything anyone tells the public, as I've seen things go the other way many a time. I'm not calling Lucas a liar, and I'm not asking him to make another film. I just think that at some point, whether Lucas is even alive or not, someone is going to go back to the well, perhaps once too often.

From what I understand, Walt Disney said that stuff like Cinderella and the like wouldn't have sequels. And look where we are today. Not that it's Walt's doing, but that it's being done. Straight to video, no less.

And while Lucas isn't Disney, I think they still have their similarities in some aspects. If Lucas was so inclined to do a Star Wars Christmas Special and Jar Jar Binks, then I won't put ANYthing past him. Disney has tons of things associated with them, in all manner of fairy tale to legend to their own creations. Lucas has Star Wars, maybe a few other things, but Star Wars is THE cash cow there.

Ultimately, I beleive that sooner or later, someone is going to try and milk a Star Wars film beyond the first 6 episodes. My main question as far as that goes is whether or not it would have Lucas' blessing. Not his direction, not another 3 years on the set, but simply his go-ahead. That's all I'm wondering.
