Ok that I didn't know. I haven't actualy seen an original Bandai VF1S super valkyrie toy that close. I was going by the VF 1S Bandai rerelease, which has the same square head as Jetfire sugesting it was based on the Strike Valkyrie mold, the original Takatoku Toys VF1S also has the square head.

>Furthermore, in the Macross TV series (aka Robotech The >Macross Saga) the VF-1S is clearly drawn with a round >face. Hence why the toy has a round face. In the Macross >movie "Do You Remember Love" (aka Clash of the Bionoids) >the VF-1S Strike Valkyrie is clearly shown with a square >head.

Well I went through my tapes of both macross's, and I will concede that they are marginaly different. The VF1's chin in the Macross movie is drawn with straight lines, while the VF1's in the tv series has a smoother more rounded chin. Both heads have the same squarish forehead, and the same overall shape though, the tv series version is just has a smoother chin.

I still find the Bandai VF1S head to be inacurate and far more blocky than it should be though, The VF1S in the macross movie definitly wasn't that blocky. Still I guess thats to be excpected with most toys.
