Seeing Stars can be very dry, especially if it's that and only that.

I use lots of methods, switching between activities frequently when attention wanders. We also switch learning modes: hand gestures, chants, kinetic movement, visualization, and lots of other styles. The goals stay the same, we just approach them in a different way.

A really good reading teacher will rarely have a bored child one-on-one. Maybe they just don't click together. :)

I don't know that; just tossing it out there. Didn't mean to imply she wasn't good. :)
