Hi Katherine It's me again I am really concerned that your son is zoned out and that you have spent all that money and its not hitting the mark. Could you please tell us what the IEP is covering and what additional support that IEP brings, in the way of one on one support and specialised programmes.
If you are in the States my understanding is that the IEP comes along with stringent obligations on the school's part.
My other concern is that you will spend a fortune on tutors who may be good in their field but are not right for your son.Is there a school special needs teacher involved ?. In my job I am very committed to working in partnership with parents--I hope the school sees themselves as working alongside you in a collaborative way to ensure your son's success.
