Before you decide to spend the money on a private school, consider taking your son to a developmental optometrist to check his visual skills. I'm sure you've had his eyes checked and are comfortable that he's seeing well enough, but that doesn't mean that his eyes are working well together, and the money you're about to spend might be better spent on vision therapy instead. I've worked with nearly 200 struggling readers over the past decade, and a fairly number of them had the sort of vision problem that makes reading quite difficult.

If you haven't heard of vision therapy, there's a lot more information on my website. See The Vision Piece of the Dyslexia Puzzle. Also, you might want to look at the diet information there and consider getting his vitamin D3 level checked.
