Hi there, some main signs of dyslexia come from reading as not recognising d and b properly, no/on read wrong way around, missing letters, as e in horse, missing words and loosing where in the sentence they are. School teacher did assessment on my son and said that he is not concentrating enough and not trying enough. I worked for years with adults with dyslexia and when I mwntioned that to her she said its not same with children. I helped my son as much as I can from home, but the progress was really slow. We took him for a propper two day asssessment, which is bit expensive, but they diagnosed him with dyslexia and the report was very detailed explaining all areas where he needs special attention. We found a tutor in the area and now he works two days a week with tutor and he found it very very helpful.
