I have used the multiplication square with students who do not have visual search problems and it has been beneficial. The multiplication table worksheets were helpful too. One strategy that I use is to explain to students how many 'lots of' something there are, if you have 5 'lots of' 2 how many have you got? helps a student to visualise the sum. Also singing or rapping the times tables helps the student remember.
