I am just completing my Certificate and am starting to look at using the Maths ideas with students I tutor. Am glad to see such positive responses to the methods. As a tutor I am looking at ways to best effectively present the multiplication tables to students. Have been thinking about printing copies off in colour and then laminating them so that students can use them multiple times, simple by using a non-permanent marker. This works very well with a Comprehension program I use with younger students. Has anyone ever tried this? Are there any drawbacks? If I am going to make laminated copies I was also wondering if these sort of worksheets work better for dyslexic students if the questions are presented in table form with the lines between questions marked in. Does it make it easier for them to track? Am also going to play with creating problems using the child's name. Will try to feed back how this goes.
