Hi Helen,

Try reading Understanding the Dyslexia Puzzle, on my website at OnTrack Reading, particularly the parts on diet and vision. Maybe some of it will give you ideas about how to proceed.

For example, the page Vitamin D and Dyslexia might lead you to evaluate your son's vitamin D levels. And the Vision Assessment Checklist might help you determine whether your son has some undiagnosed vision problems that are interfering with his reading (that would be my best guess, incidentally.)
