Do not get discouraged. I have felt since my son was 5 that he might be dyslexic but let the teachers who said "he is fine he will grow out of it he isnt struggling"etc... talk me out of it. Finally this year he got so depressed I had enough. His symptoms are quite evident but because he is so smart his grades aren't that bad and I am still struggling to get the principle to even test him despite solid evidence. Whether it is dyslexia, something else, or he just learns in a way not common, keep at it. The schools are usually very hard to convince and you will hear no a lot more than you should but keep at it. It will be worth it.
