I am just beginning the process of learning about the dyslexia journey. My daughter may have this learning disability. It is my understanding that Texas is somewhat of a 'benchmark' regarding this issue. I am very impressed that you had diagnosis and implementation of an IEP at the kindergarten level.
If you do not make any progress from the follow up suggested by Tasha I would also recommend writing a letter to the Principal, Special Education Department and Case Manager requesting a meeting within the next week or two. I would send it registered mail. This sends the school a clear message that you are aware of your rights and your childs federal given rights. The school is obligated to follow up with you or it could become a legal issue. YOu may also want to see if their is a special education advocacy group in your area. They can be a valuable resource. Good luck.
