Hello,

I am currently undergoing a Dyslexia course (with the people that run this website funnily enough!) and the texts that I have been reading say things like:

THE GOLDEN RULE

"The Golden Rule when reading with a child is to tell the child the words that they do not know straight away. This will increase the enjoyment of the story for you both and make the child want to read with you again.

The words you tell the child will be repeated in the story anyway, or you can read the book from the beginning another day, when the child will notice that he or she can read words that you had told them last time."

I hope that this will make reading a more enjoyable experience for both you and your child :o)
