Have you had the school test your son for learning disabilities? If they find that he needs help and he gets classified, then you can requet less home work. The average student is only sopose to do 15 min per subject of homework. The rest is up to each teacher and yourself to dicuss. Don't reuin your family values and over do the homework. Every child is different and learns differently so find out what works for your children and do just that. TOO much of anything is no good!!! Also a happy MOM is a good MOM.
