I live near the home of the Buckeyes. Near Ohio State University. The best wolverine ass-kicking team around! :)

No, I am just an indentured servant at my company here.

You have "Oriental roaches". They live in cool damp environments. They have an offspring of 800 per female per year. They are pretty easy to kill. The problem is the environment... some people have water problems in their basements or live in a house built in former swampy-like areas. Addressing those kinds of problems can be difficult.

Boric acid is a fine chemical. Problem is, people don't know how to apply it right. The grease and sugar will attract them, no doubt. But if you put down too much boric acid, they will avoid it. I use Avert dust or the gel. It does a great job. Problem is that unless you are a farmer you are likely not to have a pesticide license and won't be able to get it. So in this case: home remedies may have to do. Avert is approximatly 99.95% brown sugar and just .05% boric acid. It takes just a quarter teaspoon per bait placement and is good for an entire year so long as it doesn't get too wet. The best places to apply it is inside floor drains. Oriental roaches tend to come out of these drains a lot. The second most likely place is the soil outside. If this is the problem, you will need to fix any drainage problems first before any remedy will be very effective. Feel free to e-mail me if I can be of further assistance. Jonathan
