Maybe you got it all cried out in those days before the funeral and since then, it's like you and Duck said, you know he's at peace and not suffering anymore.

Besides I'm not sure if anyone knows what is a normal reaction or what is a weird reaction....we tend to base that on what we think people expect. You understood your friend and the feelings he had and I imagine your reaction is probably the right one for you.

I think there are times when some people are in so much pain, either physically or mentally that when they die we realize that at least they don't have to suffer any more.
Anyways, that's my opinion.
