Subject: I wish I were in bed!!

Hi all,
Gees, I wish I could be in bed today and pull the covers up over my head. My energy level is zilch... think the depression might be flairing up. I can understand why people turn to drugs and alchohol. My husband and I have to go to a funeral on Friday and Saturday, although I am tempted to not go to the one on Friday. My sister is having surgery in Philadelphia and I'd kind of like to be around in case my brother-in-law calls. So... I will feel guilty either way.

What is it with guilt going along with depression anyway? Seems like I feel so guilty all the time. Probably has to do with the idea that I have to be "perfect"? A perfect robot, it feels like. The illusion is that I think everyone will like me if I am really on top of my game, and am perfectly nice and sweet. Well SCREW that! The truth is, people are going to like me or not... not being dependent on what I do or don't do.

Ugh.
