I know of one deliberate GSW that was successful. All I know was that it was a person disabled by an accident. They waited until their family had left for a bit, then shot themselves in the forhead. They survived for three days, then with all the intracranial pressure, they became brain-dead.

I know other people who have threatened to shoot themselves, but none who have tried.
