I thought I was the only one 'waiting' for something. I am an only child, so I keep telling myself 'as soon as my parents are gone..', but then when they keep being as healthy as horses, I almost feel resentful that they are doing so well, because it extends my pain.

As for Rhonda, I think you did the right thing, even though it was terribly hard. If she is in another relationship when you are married, that is audultery, and is viable grounds, even within the church, for divorce. You shouldn't have to keep supporting her. It isn't easy though to follow through, is it?
