you might want to research the bite splint before you put money into it. look for some sites that talk about TMJ, a lot of people who have bought the splints have found they just grind on that even more. there is a huge controversy over what type of treatment is best for grinding. also, grinding teeth not only can lead to headaches but also TMJ, which i have from gritting my teeth when anxious or stressed. i do not do it at nite, but when i'm awake & stressed. it has taken a lot of effort on my part to stop gritting my teeth, but it has worked without any kind of splint. also, was instructed to quit totally chewing gum. anything that irritates the mandibular joint. mine caused over a year of ear pain for which i was prescribed over 19 different anti-biotics, only to find out it was my teeth grinding that caused the problem. i also ruin my lungs to stay thin, welcome to the club!!
