Hey, it sounds like you have depression big time. It's not un-usual for people to mask it with other drugs, drinking, or smoking.....before they realize there is something wrong.

Probably you learned some of it....from.....your parents....if they suffered from it as well. My mother had....depression and schizophrenia......so I learned to rely upon myself at an early age, I was the caregiver, and....instead of being a child.......I was.....the one......taking care of my parent. Perhaps, this is part of what you took in......as well? Who knows? Hopefully, your doctor can lead you in the right direction?

My life isn't that bad either......and my doctor says, if I married the King....of (something)- and won the lottery, I'd still be depressed. I think, he is right. Just hang in there and hold onto what makes you ok, for now.
