Anytime I've ever gotten that way I needed something to give me a spark to carry on. A thought that could create a frame of mind that can endure until those feelings dissipate. Everybody's different so I am not sure what works for you.

Going/Thinking about fishing can lift me up.
Grilling something which takes most of the day.
Long drives late at night.

Activities which allow me to be alone, don't require much thought and are relaxing seem to help. But I tend to be pretty introverted and don't need a lot of company around.
