Hello,

Scott has tried to call you a couple times tonight but couldn't get through. No answer and the answering machine didn't work.

Whoever is telling you that it NEVER snows like this here is exaggerating. It does, just not very often. It used to be that in NC, where I'm from, if we got snow, we always got more than SC or GA did. But in the past 10 years it seems like a lot of fronts will hit that gulf moisture and come up from the south. When that happens, the accumulation is usually quite significant and GA and SC will end up with more that NC, even though they are further south.

The problem is that because significant snowfall is pretty rare, there aren't a lot of snowplows, etc to be found here. In fact there aren't any. And even though they tell people to stay off the roads and people here aren't used to driving in it, they don't listen.

It is sad though.

You should have called us. We're just sitting around. I went to the Aiken Kmart to work for a couple hours but came back before the roads froze up again. They were really slushy but with the temps dropping to the teens tonight, they're going to be slick again.

Hope you start feeling better.

Love,
Sandy
