Can't respond to all your message but will to the part of being isolated. It's got its blessings and curses. I remember driving home after long days working that West TX Waste facility and realizing how far I was from anywhere. Coyotes and jackrabbits were about it for wildlife. But there is something soothing about not having large crowds of people invading your space. This is especially nice when you're in a positive frame of mind but is hell when you're not.
