Hey Mercs

here are my 2 cents...

1) IAE = AoE? (just a guess =)

2) IAE aka AoE tactics. That went pretty well once it got coordinated and had a great impact as far as I'm considered. My suggestion for mages would be to pick a highlevel target once they start the attack as every few seconds we can use our insta Fireblast which deal a lot of damage and can surely be the last bit to kill i.e. a 60 priest who'd otherwise survive the plain AoE thingy...
Additionally one thing I did and found very effective although it reduces the fire power a bit is:
After being in there and dealing massive AoE dmg there comes a point when they start to hurt you a lot. In that case blinking back out to our line seems to be the best thing possible, as it gives the healers an additional few seconds to heal you. (You can cast a Flamestrike in the meantime) However this saved me a couple of times which means I'm still in combat and can nuke the few guys that survived the AoE massacre.

3) Various MTs. There are two sides to that. I think it would be good to have a "mage-only-MT" but to really coordinate we'd have to be in our own channel otherwise the MT of the mages would constantly spam the channel which would interfere with the general talk there.
I don't know but maybe it's possible to set a button to automatically whisper a certain group in TS? So only the mages can hear when they have to load?
Apart from that I must confess that I didnt pay much attention to the MTs target due to two reasons. When I AoE it's pointless anyways and secondly when I wasnt I kinda focused on those in the back attacking our healers and such or was target hoping to damaged enemies which in most cases I can kill in few secs: (PoM) Fireball + Fireblast -> HK.
