I don't even know what to say...

For one thing...I am a little sick of everyone looking down their noses at my deplorable methods, but consistent in asking for my help when you deem violence appropriate for your moral fucking high horses.

And yeah, this was a political mistake. It was never considered as a political gesture. I've been told that everything is politics. Every gesture a political gesture.

Fuck that.

I refuse to scrutinize my every last thought to ensure that it is consistent with the interests and alliances that I propogate. I can't live on that pretentious a fucking level.

I was helping out a friend. Maybe there was a better way to do it. I thought. I've been thinking. I saw this as the necessary solution.

I'm sorry to say that the whole struggle over the relationship between the elders and the neonates is just fucking pointless. They're older. They're more powerful. Of course they're gonna be pushy and manipulative. That's human nature. They may not be humans, but they were. Deal.

Try to get your respect. Stake your claim. Get it what ways you will. Strike deals with them, seduce them, throw them off balconies...whatever. But politically outmaneuvering them is an illusion you will be sold. You'll think you're winning by ineffective shows of power with little concrete backing to them, when in fact you've just gotten duped into playing chess. Incidentally, most of the pieces are a bunch of people hopped up on vampire blood running around the city during the day carrying orders, while their masters skulk around at night trading alliances and information but really actually doing very little.

Oh, and Angel's gonna do what she can to smooth things over.

And everything Jo said (a few posts down) ::I forget the particulars but it was generally defensive of Parker:: was pretty much on the mark.
