Cliff, I'm always amazed at how wise you can sound at the same time you display your naivete. Don't be offended by that, I think it's actually an impressive thing. But you are making a lot of assumptions here.
I agree with you completely that the humans who acted against us were merely pawns and not even important pawns at that. They were, as you said, hired guns. The question of who hired them is another matter. As far as I can tell that's only answered by seeing who's highest on the hierarchy. And at the moment I gotta say, it ain't Blackwell. Although he was high enough that I found him untouchable on my own crusade. And as far as my sire's association with him, I don't have any proof of that. Although he may be one of the many Elders who sieze upon her plight as a means of power, I know he bears her no love.
I agree with you that there are more connections here than we realize. But there maybe more than we'll ever be allowed to see. One thing I'm certain of, it's hard to tell how far up something goes when you're looking from the bottom. It all looks tall. Period. How tall is very fucking hard to tell.
I've ranted enough on this already. I think you all know my mind. I have to get back to work.
