Forgive me, my friend..

�- -she murmurs quietly before hurling the blast at Briar with an efforted grunt after Mia slipped out of his grasp . quickly draws back her arm, sliding a knife out of her sleeve, which had been hidden in a small compartment insde her robe . she skids behind Briar and grabs his arm with more force than she usually exerts, locking it in front of herself and behind Briar with a 270 degree twist . kicks a leg out and tips him over, though not too harshly . tosses the knife up and catches it in a position that allowed her placement of the sharp weapon at his neck . she draws it close to his skin and whispers into his ear.
