The two newspapers I worked for (1) a large-bore extractor duct mounted to the ceiling with pipes coming down to every metal pot (obviously the one furthest away from the extractor and vent. must have had the least protection). (2) Altogether a more modern high roofed plant with many air extractors. Interested to read about Sarcoidosis which is a stiffening of the lungs reducing the amount of air intake, plus a dry cough. Apparently it usually disappears by itself in due course. The only guys I can bring to mind with chronic breath shortages back in the 60s/70s in the trade were self-inflicted heavy smokers.
