I do not think 'too powerful' maybe Fleet Street was too arrogant and did not see the future - we had plenty of warning, we only had to see what was happening in the USA. I stood on a picket line in Sacremento - The Bee - (whilst on holiday) with an ex-colleague from Bristol. When I came home and I tried to explain the situation it was a case of but 'it can't happen here.' Nobody seems to read their history or learn by it. Fight by all means when you can, but negotiate before it is too late. Cheers TA NGA and whatever we are now.
