Perceptor, Orbital, Nova and Prowl were anything but idle as they stood at the various consoles trying to stablizize the platform that was to return Batbot and Azdak to them. But something had gone horribly wrong, and Batbot's lifesigns had faded. Though he was hesitant to voice his concerns aloud to the other four Councillers present, Perceptor knew that if they were lucky enough to get the one, the one would be Azdak.

"I haven't felt this shaky since Ultra Magnus let the Decepticon's destroy three-quarters of our shuttle!" he thought, nostalgia popping up at an unusual time. "I could swear the whole room was shaking from our efforts, but we mustn't....eh?"

What now?!

Perceptor turned now from his controls to see Chimpimus kicking his feet against what seemed to be a large cocoon, his hands trapped within.

Ummmm....a little help here!

Prowl, who had noted the intruder's arrival first but was occupied with the more important task of bringing Batbot and Azdak back from Ia, now pryed the former Talamac free with a permissive nod from Perceptor.

"Alex, you and Prowl stay with Chimpimus and keep an eye on our latest 'guest.' Orbital and Nova, continue trying to stabilize the Chief Justice in this reality! With all these distractions, like that explosion Tala--Chimpimus heard about an hour ago and now this, we cannot afford to lose anyone else!"

Perceptor read immediately on their faces what he had inadvertently revealed under such stress. He had spoken aloud what the others already feared, that Batbot was lost. Suddenly, the Council building shook anew....

"That's not my nerves; there really ARE tremors!

What the deuce is going on out there?"

Outside the Council building, day had turned to night, albeit with a greenish hue, and shockwaves from a fierce battle in space near one of Cybertron's moons were now reaching the planet below. In the streets, those panicked by the explosion at the senate much earlier now had something to truly fear, a force whose identity was only now apparent to Admiral Bhoare's fleet, but whose approach had been debated overly long by the senate. Within the Council building Windshear's message as well as both of Darkstar's would remained unnoticed....for now.
