Yes, but they can't follow an absolute even/odd split unless every dancer returns. If 7th place quit, 8th place might be placed into the "Odd" split rather than the "even." But again, at the end of the day, it shouldn't matter that much. In other regions your dancer would have to compete against ALL the dancers you don't want her going up against.
